Exit Signal

Terms of service

Last updated: 2026-04-26

1. About Exit Signal

Exit Signal aggregates publicly reported and community-submitted information about workforce reductions at named companies. Reports may be unverified at the time of publication; every report carries a verification level (community-reported, multi-source, insider-verified, official-confirmed, or document-verified).

2. Acceptable use

3. Anonymous submissions

We accept anonymous tips. Submitter IP and user-agent are hashed with a daily-rotating salt and the raw values are not retained. Image metadata (EXIF / IPTC / XMP) is stripped server-side before evidence files are stored. Submitting a deliberately false tip is a violation of these terms.

4. Accuracy & disputes

Reports below the “Multi-source” verification level are clearly labelled as community-reported and unconfirmed. If a record about your company is incorrect, file a takedown at /legal/takedown. We review takedowns by a human within 72 hours and audit-log every moderation action.

5. Data attribution

Public layoff data is sourced in part from Layoffs.fyi, press releases, RSS feeds, and other public sources. Each record links to the original source where available.

6. Liability

Exit Signal is provided “as is” for informational purposes only. We make no warranty as to the accuracy of any individual report and are not liable for decisions made on the basis of information published here. See the disclaimer for details.

7. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the homepage at least 30 days before they take effect.
